The art of process improvement decoded into 5 simple steps
WHY: The reason this book was written back in 2017, was I wanted to my process to consistently being able to lead process improvement projects throughout my career.
OBJECTIVE: My objective was to simplify the approach, as the world of process improvement has become so complicated with so many jargon and various methodologies.
WHO: This was written for small business owners, experienced professional struggling with certain challenges and young professionals trying to make a name for themselves. Was written to help ‘declutter’ the complexity and ‘decode’ all of the different systems and methodologies out there such as: Six Sigma, Lean, TQM, Quality Improvement, general leadership practices and other methodologies.
APPROACH: I took an approach to provide 5 real world examples, spread out between each of the 5 simple steps I laid out. Intentionally written, in common, easy-to-understand language. Even included some of the key things that aren’t taught to you regarding the process improvement methodologies, such as getting buy-in and internal communications to ensure you get the right support needed through closure.
APPLICATIONS: Customer experience, business turnarounds, process improvements, operational leadership, and general running of operations.
